In the heart of the wonderful green surroundings of the Zen Garden Resort, we await our guests with more than 700 square meter terrace overlooking to the Lake. The experience that satisfies all the senses. Eye-catching food, a view of Lake Balaton, a scent of linden wood evoking summer evenings, and the touch of the breeze Lake Balaton.
In our modern European bistro kitchen, we pay special attention to the needs of gluten- and milk-sensitive guests when compiling our dishes. Our guests find vegetarian and vegan dishes in our menu in all seasons.

From July, the Bamboo Bistro also welcomes guests who do not stay at the Zen Garden Resort but want to enjoy the culinary experience of the bistro. Visit us, have lunch or dinner in the Bamboo bistro and taste the fresh flavors of Lake Balaton, which are prepared by our chef. At Zen Garden Resort, we believe the importance of the protection our family ancient trees family. Therefore we transport our guests with environmentally friendly electric cars from the parking lot to the restaurant. Take a mini tour to explore the resort’s wonderful surroundings. (the mini tour takes approximately 10 minutes, please note this in the time of booking).
Our Chef and his Team
Some of you may be familiar with the name Norbert Krasznai if you think about a meal which is not only presented flawlessly but also leaves an extraordinary experience behind. Every meal is in perfect harmony and is joined with the scent of freshness.
Norbi was born in Siófok, but later on he became a resident of Budapest due to work. He has always felt the bond between him and the Lake, therefore when we called him, he said yes with a strong enthusiasm. His goal is to lift the gastronomy of the Balaton Region and the countryside to a higher level. He rescpects the traditions, loves the flavours and scents of the countryside but he insists on quality. Norbi managed to form an up to par restaurant at Lake Balaton where he can easily mix the local flavours and his favourite herbs with the modern technology.
Our chef is not only in perfect harmony with his meals but also with his team. There are old friendships and a cheerful company in our kitchen as well. Gábor Németh and Csaba Horváth also come from Budapest to our Bamboo Bistro and Zoltán Szabó is also familiar with the need of the local quests.
We believe in our team, they have already won our hearts.
The way of the fish ...
Our chef’s rule is that the food is always made from fresh, local ingredients. He's choosing the fish that he wants to serve on the table in the evening. We present the path of our favorite dish, salmon trout from the waves to the table. Fresh ingredients, careful use and perfect result every day.
Saturday is maket day. Our kitchen team selects the necessary vegetables with expert care from the selection of tested producers.
We have wached and learned the hospitality from our grandmothers, There's just one goal for our waiter team to leave everyone with a pleasant experience.
